The Ringwarden Writers' Association exists to strengthen, challenge, and encourage its members to write incredible stories that impact the world.
My name is Markus Bitner. I must write. The very idea of withholding my precious stories from the world is preposterous, and I'm sure many share the same opinion. If that's you—if you cannot contain your own imagination—you're about to be in good company.
All writers struggle—it's simply part of the craft, part of life—but you need not suffer alone. Do you lack motivation to get the words onto the page? Do you feel you'll never be good enough? Does Brandon Sanderson's writing speed scare you? You're not alone in the world. There are others like you, and I intend to find them.
Although the Ringwarden Writers' Association is primarily focused at writers in the sci-fi and fantasy genres, other perspectives can be valuable. A historical-fiction writer brings precision and accuracy, while a literary-fiction writer adds depth and humanity. One thing is certain: we're stronger together. You can succeed alone, but is that what you really want? Or do you yearn for a community of like-minded writers who will encourage you when writing is hard, strengthen you through critique, and challenge you to realize your fullest potential?
This isn't a writing club. We're not going to gather once a week, look at writing prompts, and talk about tropes. We're going to strive together. We're going to hold each other accountable to what we claim to be.
Are you a writer? I'm not asking if you consistently write a thousand words every day. I'm not asking if you've published a novel. I'm asking this: can you bear the thought of never sharing your stories with the world? Are you content to hoard your imagination? Or are you a writer?
If so, let's stand together.
